Through this partnership, we are now able to ensure our patients have access to professional, high-quality dental care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Who are The 247 Dentist?
The 247 Dentist is a leading provider of emergency dental services across the UK. They specialise specifically in urgent care, providing relief for patients when their regular dentist is unavailable.
Important Note: While Oakmead Dental Care and The 247 Dentist are separate companies, we have formed this partnership to provide a seamless "safety net" for our Chislehurst community. If you see them for an emergency, they will provide us with the necessary clinical notes so we can continue any follow-up care back at our practice.
What counts as a Dental Emergency?
If you are experiencing any of the following outside of our normal opening hours, you can reach out for immediate assistance:
- Severe Toothache: Pain that prevents sleep or cannot be managed by over-the-counter painkillers.
- Dental Trauma: A knocked-out tooth or a significant fracture due to an accident.
- Swelling: Any swelling of the face or gums that is spreading.
- Uncontrolled Bleeding: Bleeding following an extraction that will not stop.
- Lost Crowns or Fillings: Especially if the area is painful or sharp.
How to Access Care
If you have a dental emergency, the process is simple:
- During Clinic Hours: Call us directly at the practice as usual. We always reserve emergency slots for our registered patients.
- Out-of-Hours: If we are closed, simply call our main practice number. Our voicemail will provide you with the direct contact details for The 247 Dentist.
- Booking: You can speak with their triage team, who will assess your needs and book you into the nearest emergency clinic if necessary.
